We're Making Good Headway to Get You Connected

10:20AM July 12, 2018

Steady progress continues to be made in Roanoke Electric Cooperative's initiative to provide reliable internet service to its member-owners. Here's the latest update on construction and installation of broadband internet technology:

  • We are connecting member-owners in Segment 2 (Connarista Rd., Hexalena Rd. and Dewy Lane) Bertie County.
  • We will be moving to Segment 4 in Halifax County (Hwy 561, Allen Grove Lane, and Morning Glory Lane).
  • Segment 3 and Segment 8 will be next in line covering Cumbo Rd. and portions of Bryantown Rd. in Northampton County.
  • Segment 1 is the original pilot area, and we will be changing out equipment in this section which covers Hertford County.
  • Finally, we will move to Gates County to begin work on Segments 24 and 25. Segment 24 covers Hill Lane Rd. and Segment 25 covers portions of Little Island Rd., Barfield Rd., Small Lane and Taylor Mill Rd.

If you've not signed up already, you are encouraged to enroll for Roanoke Connect's Triple Savings offer before the money and energy-saving promotion ends on Aug. 18, 2018.

Triple Savings offers three great ways for a member-owner to save money and energy with broadband internet service and installation of smart thermostats and water heater control devices. Those signed up by Aug. 18 are guaranteed the Triple Savings package regardless of connection schedule.  Sign up today here.
